I took this picture a few weeks ago in Sedona, AZ when I was feeling overcome by the natural beauty of the red rocks surrounding me. These rocks are constantly changing as the forces of nature require and yet they remain grand and beautiful. A tour guide told me these desert rocks formed thousands of years ago - underwater. What a transformation!
It got me thinking a lot about my own journey, and those of the amazing women I coach. My clients are leaders in their fields, working women who also run busy households, and oftentimes, are experiencing transitions in their relationships. My clients are resilient, action oriented, and driven by an inner knowing. Like me, my clients are full of ideas and have great enthusiasm as a project begins. However, when our visions/dreams/goals do not happen quickly or worse, when we face harsh winds or a heavy storm, we second guess ourselves. Insecurity, doubt and fear creep in and the mountain that we were once so eager to move drifts further and further out of sight.
So this week in coaching, we are asking ourselves, why do we forget our power, our strength and our ability to adapt? Why do we resist change so often when change is sometimes the only thing that will get us where we want to go? Why do we fear harsh winds or heavy storms in our lives when nature shows us they are the very things that refine, clarify and polish? And why, do we forget that she who moves mountains, moves the small stones first?
The life we have now, whether we like it or not, did not magically appear. It is the result of the choices we make every day. The life we have in ten years, will be the result of the stones we move, or don't move, NOW. If I'm your coach, then you know I am here to help you stay focused and on track and am honored to be part of your journey. I will remind you of your magnificence at every turn and soothe you through the inevitable storms. If you are playing along at home, give some thought to how you might be able to do these things for yourself so you can move small stones in order to move mountains. If you feel like you might need some extra help, feel free to reach out to me.
Have a wonderful week full of love, laughter and joy! And make sure you check-in next week to find out what we are exploring next!
What will you manifest this year? Five years ago today, I saw this word written on the beach. There was no one else in sight. It felt like it was for me. I knew what it meant. It was time to get on with my real life....you know the one where I stepped into my power and lived fully and freely? A journey began and it continues as I walk the walk as a mother, wife, business owner and band member @ormewoods. So many of us in this group are in the midst of shedding our skins and redefining what it means to take up space with powerful feminine energy. We are impacting our families and our communities in ways that are immeasurable. As I coach other creative women who have dreams bigger than the amount of time they have available, I am reminded that work/life balance is so important. How do we make those dreams come true despite our time limitations? How do we stay true to this new version of our future we see, while still being present for loved ones. How do we rock the boat without throwing the baby out with the bathwater? These are the questions I'm exploring this week with coaching clients. Play along at home or if you know you would benefit from a coach, reach out. I offer free consultations. firstname.lastname@example.org❤️🙏👍🥰
